Last weekend, I've been in Ourense with the Portuguese National Team to participate in the IX Campeonato Internacional da Cidade de Ourense 2010.

I got the 2nd place in Nan Quan. I should be happy with that, but i not. Although, i know that it was hard to get the first place. My physical shape was worse than the Portuguese Nationals. As i recall, my nandu was not perfect, i think that i only miss one nandu movement, TKBL540, although, the score was a little weird, because i see in the video the judges cutting out nandu movements that are done quite well. Anyway, my physical shape was not good, and Jose Manuel Ferreira was a lot of power, he did quite good.

Now it's time to study hard, because i have University exam's..

I've been a little busy at this time. Practice and studies are steeling me a lot of time.

So, in the Portuguese Wushu Nationals, three weaks ago, i won the 1st place in Nan Quan. The judging criteria was not quite as i aspect. They didn't use the Wushu evaluation method, and that create a lot of snoozing around.. any away, i won!

Now, i've been call again to be part of the Portuguese Wushu Team, in the IX Campeonato Internacional da Cidad de Ourense, in Spain. It will this weekend. I'm going to compete in Nan Quan only. I don't have a lot of expectation about my result. I just want to do all clean, no mistakes, and hope to do a good job there. There are more experienced guys there. I once compete in Nan Quan, in 2005, in the same tournament and i won, but now, the Spanish Team has a lot more guys with nice level. José Manuel Ferreira is the best guy they have in Nan Quan, young and with a lot of experience, such in the last EWC and WWC. He has power indeed!

The Portuguese Wushu Team is already in Antalaya. It all went well, except that Margarida has lost her weapons somewhere. That's not good news, at all!

I happy that Portugal finally has good athletes, and a good organization to get back to the internacional Wushu competition. I hope that they do a good job there. We all need that!

I'm still a little sad to stay in Portugal, but a lot of things just won't let me go.

In other hand, my knee is better and better! I'm not 100%, maybe 80%, but i'm working on it. For now, i'm increasing my muscle mass in the legs, especially around the knee.

In the last months, i was wondering if i was compete in the EWC 2010 in Turkey. Well.. i do not go this year! =\

There are a few reasons for that. First of all, my physical condition is not good enough. I've been training, but not hard enough to go do something interesting in EWC. Second, the Portuguese Federation, has pass a little hard time, and they don't have money to pay athletes fees, and is about 1500€ per athlete. To much just go take a walk!

If you put the two reasons together, you will understand easily. But i will watch everyone from Portugal :)

After this, a make a review to my wushu schedule, and i still have at least two more competition, one in Madrid, Orense (don't know nothing about it yet), and the portuguese competition. I'll try to go to the Toledo also.

Now i'm trying do heal my knee, to start real training. I miss wushu, the jumps, the hard work.

Some Nan Quan at the end of the year, just right before a little knee injury. The ground (tatami) was wet and the call for xfj didn't go as i aspect =\ although, tomorrow i'll see if it's bad or i can just keep training.

There's news from FPAMC, and with that come new challengers.. in the end of the month i will know for sure, my agenda for this year!
